This event was previously scheduled for Sunday, June 22. Due to increased temperatures over the weekend, the event has been pushed back one week, to June 29th.
Join us as we continue “Seasons of a Prairie” at the Decorah Community Prairie and Butterfly Garden, Sunday, June 29, 1:30-4:00 pm.
Learn about prairie reconstruction and maintenance with Brian Fankhauser of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation; hear from Lucas Fankhauser on his experience and lessons learned while keeping ants; and enjoy a leisurely walk with Molly McNicoll, Luther Biology Professor, as she highlights plants in the prairie.
The Community Prairie is located at 4 Ohio Street, just over the dike. Wear comfortable walking shoes and come ready to explore this wonderful site.
This program is offered free of charge and sponsored by Decorah Parks and Recreation.
